There are many reasons to vote Republican
The Larry Jones letter of Wednesday ("Why would anyone vote Republican?") is misguided on so many levels that it is impossible to address in your allowable 200 words. Given that limitation, I will simply answer the question posed by Jones as to why anyone would vote Republican:
Beaumont ISD officials don't listen to taxpayers
Beaumont ISD Superintendent Carrol Thomas reminds me of our president. I guess Beaumont will have to do as the American taxpayers did in the last election.
Trooper's help appreciated
Thursday evening, I had a flat tire while driving home from work on Texas 105. When I stopped to change it, a DPS trooper (Fulgram, if I read his badge right) pulled up behind me and offered his assistance, which I gladly accepted.
Drunk driving is more deadly to us than terrorism
I could have been on a jury the other day that was to hear evidence concerning a felony driving while under the influence of alcohol charge. Know this fact: More Americans on American soil have been killed by drunk drivers than by terrorists.
Beaumont ISD superintendent should move on to bigger things
BISD Superintendent Carrol A. "Butch" Thomas is too big for Beaumont. I suggest we offer him to President Obama, where he could have unlimited deficit money to spend.
Fed meddling is harming our economy
The recent election has illustrated that the American people can still manifest a "political will" when they are pushed. However, it is interesting to note that the real cause of the "boom and bust cycle" of the economy has not been addressed.
Why would anyone vote Republican?
I have a few questions for voters who voted for Clinton in the '90s and Obama in '08, but then, voted Republican last week.
Obama was rejected by voters
Well, the big event is over and the truth is out - America is a Republican country. You don't have to count the votes, you can just look at the sea of red swamping the blue dots on a map of the country.
Texas must go green
